WHAT IS ISO 9000?
The ISO 9000 series of standards, developed in 1987 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), consists of quality system standards. These standards define the quality management system that a business or organization should establish to meet its customers’ requirements as effectively as possible. They include the requirements necessary for documenting, controlling, and maintaining that system.
ISO 9000 is a quality assurance model used both to establish a quality system and to evaluate an existing one. This means conformity with a standard recognized in many industrialized countries. These system standards can be applied across all sectors, not only to manufacturing businesses or service providers.
The internationally recognized designation of the standard is ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Standard.
The designation adopted in Europe is EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Standard.
The designation adopted in Türkiye is TS EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Standard.
